Very early production Two Cavity Geo. A. Hensley (Hensley & Gibbs) #9 Wadcutter Mould

© 2014 – Thomas C. Dugas

A very early two cavity Geo. A. Hensley mould.  I would estimate its production at about 1934 or 1935.  The rare early features are:

1.  The opposed pins

2.  The style of venting

3.  The rivet style hinge pin on the handles.

This is the only mould I have seen with all three of these features.  I had only read about these features scattered across many letters and catalog references.  I know very little about these early experimental designs other than George like to experiment with features to improve casting performance.
